Katy Jones and her Luscious Loch Lomond Solo

Its 0600 and Katy Jones enters the water at Balloch for her longest swim to date. Waved off by hubby into a rather atmospheric Loch. The water temperature was averaging 15 degrees and the forecast was super favorable for a wind free swim, well at least that is what the weather forecasts said.

Katy took a while to settle in , with a few " what am I doings" and " can I do this" being spun around, but Katy knew she was capable and knew she had done everything to finish this swim. And just at the right moment her husband and 2 children paddled out to give her that much needed cheer on.  Did she complete  ? Of course she did in a fantastic time of 13 hours and 49 minutes.

What an absolute star.
