Windermere Mile Challenges are a go for 2022

Monday 11th April was a chilly day with a breeze blowing from South to North. Water temperature sitting at 9.2 degrees and a breeze blowing down to Ambleside it was going to be a challenging swim for most.
We had a special swimmer Zoe, who chose to celebrate her birthday by doing what she loves, open water and even brought homemade cake for all. Each swimmer hit their targets whether that be time in the water or the mile.
For some this was the first open water swim back, and for others it was a test of the work they had been putting in over winter. What a fine bunch of swimmers we had the luxury of meeting. Well Done.
