Buttermere

Small Lake, big atmosphere. Surrounded by steep fells, Buttermere is ideal for confidence-building swims, technique sessions or relaxed endurance training in a breathtaking setting. Fully tailored routes with clear safety cover, pacing guidance and supportive guiding throughout.

Crummock Water

2.5 miles (end to end)

A hidden gem of the Lake District, Crummock offers a pure wild swim through rugged, dramatic scenery. Quieter than the larger lakes, it’s ideal for building confidence, refining open-water skills and enjoying a more remote crossing. We manage route planning, safety oversight and weather monitoring — you enjoy the swim.

Wastwater

2.8 miles (crossing)

Dramatic, deep and unforgettable — Wastwater is England’s deepest lake and one of the Lake District’s most striking settings. Remote and powerful beneath the Wasdale screes, it’s a truly wild and adventurous swim.We assess conditions, select the safest line and provide full safety cover so you can focus on rhythm and experience.

Bassenthwaite

4 miles (crossing, route dependent)

Wide, open and steady, Bassenthwaite is perfect for building endurance and developing open-water confidence over longer, consistent distances without marathon intensity. Includes full safety cover, route planning, pacing guidance and feed support where required.

Coniston Water

5.5 miles (one-way)

A true Lake District classic and often a swimmer’s first “big lake”. Coniston’s straight course makes it ideal for pacing practice, endurance progression and multi-hour open-water confidence. We provide full safety cover, briefing, pacing guidance, weather monitoring and photo/video capture.

Ullswater

7.2 miles (one-way), 14.4 miles (two-way)

Often called the “Lake District’s Lucerne”, Ullswater is wild, expansive and deeply rewarding. Its varied shape creates changing conditions that keep the swim engaging from start to finish. We handle safety cover, pacing, feeds, route briefing and live tracking so your day runs smoothly.

Windermere One-Way

10.5 miles (one-way)

England’s longest lake and a true endurance benchmark. This one-way crossing is all about patience, pacing and mental resilience over several steady hours in open water. Includes full safety cover, feed coordination, live tracking and experienced on-the-water support.

Windermere Double

21 miles (two-way)

From £800 TBC on request

A major step up in endurance, the Windermere Double requires disciplined pacing, structured feeding and resilience over 10–16+ hours depending on pace and conditions. We build the plan around you, with full safety cover, crew oversight, feeds and continuous condition monitoring.
