For her second attempt, Audrey Hellen chose to ditch the wetsuit that caused her no end of problems on her first attempt last year. When Dave gave his "what you bothering with that thing for" speech, Audrey was in full agreement; she has trained in skins ever since and was ultra-determined to crack it this time.

With amazing conditions and a slight tailwind, Audrey had her head down and got the job done. Guided by Dave and with Gareth Rees on board to support with feeds, Audrey completed her solo in just over 5 hours 35. One very happy lady.
