Windermere Solo

Tuesday 12th July was another stunning day. We met the lovely, slightly nervous Lucy Bessant, ready for her Windermere Solo.
With a sub-5-hour target in her mind, Lucy was super focused. Waved off by her family, off she sped. Hourly feeds down Windermere made it a smooth guided swim. A couple of hours from the end, Lucy started to look up more and ask those classic questions like "how far now?" and "are we close?".
During her final push, Lucy was cheered on by everyone aboard a Windermere Cruiser as she passed. She even got a big shout-out over the speakers!
At 4 hours and 44 minutes, Lucy was screamed into the jetty by her family. A fabulous swim. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Lucy has up her sleeve.
