Helen hits the sub 5 hour target.
Monday 15th August it was English Channel Solo swimmer Helen Hislop, jumping into Windermere with a sub 5 hour target in mind. Helen was on track with her training when the dreaded covid set her back and her swim had to be cancelled. However, a last minute opportunity arose and Helen said "Ill give it a go". Thats exactly what she did. With her husband Iain onboard to keep feeds fast, Helen swam her heart out to hit the jetty in a superb time of 4 hours and 52 minutes. A drama free epic swim which shows the determination and strength of her. Well done.
