After a fantastic season of training — building strength, speed, and confidence — Emily took on her longest swim to date: a solo crossing of Coniston Water.
Conditions on the day couldn’t have been better. Waved off from the jetty by her swim partner-in-crime, her mum, Emily set off with her trademark beaming smile and calm determination.
Following a bespoke training plan, Emily approached the swim with confidence and composure, settling into her rhythm and clearly enjoying every moment in the water. As she closed in on the finish, her mum paddled out to meet her, bringing the swim to a perfectly fitting and emotional end.
Emily completed her Coniston solo in an impressive 3 hours and 20 minutes, finishing exactly as she started — smiling. With another strong year of training ahead, she now sets her sights on preparing for her English Channel Relay, an exciting new challenge on the horizon.
