Couples post covid relay swim

Tuesday 13th September, saw this beautiful couple changing a negative into a positive and completing their challenge together.
Originally a Windermere solo was the plan for Ian and Claire on consecutive days, however Covid struck again. Wondering whether they had recovered enough and a tad nervous, we discussed a relay swim instead of a cancellation and it was a yes.
Claire was first in and what a beautiful day it was, perfect conditions which calmed the nerves instantly. Ian was next in, still not a fan of ditching the wetsuit he got into his rhythm and completed a good solid hour.
The couple rotated hourly swims and in a superb time of 6 hours and 35 minutes they walked out of the end together.
