Buttermere Bonanza for Cath and Jackie #TeamREDD

Meet Jackie and Cath, two out of the three swimmers that make up Team REDD. Unfortunately, Zoe could not make the swim but was there in spirit.
The ladies had previously traveled to Jersey to swim to France in a relay, but the weather was not on their side and they were unable to complete the crossing. To ensure their hard training did not go to waste and they fulfilled their challenge, we created the "Buttermere Bonanza."
It was a stunning day and the weather was kind. They arrived with their husbands supporting them, and what a day they had! While the ladies relayed for 8 hours and 55 minutes, their husbands walked the circular route around Buttermere, fueled everyone with sandwiches, and generally had a great time.
The day could not have been more perfect, with friends coming along to jump in for a swim or a paddle and give the ladies support as they spent their day swimming two lengths of Buttermere in relay.
